Responsibilities

The Supply Chain Analyst, International Transportation is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the movement of goods and materials across international borders. The primary responsibility for this role will be to gather, analyze, and interpret data to provide actionable insights that contribute to the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and performance of our global supply chain.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Analysis:
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data related to our international transportation operations
  • Provide transit milestone tracking for all international shipments from origin to the destination
  • Utilize data analytics tools and software to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement
  • Generate reports and present findings to support data-driven decision-making

Performance Metrics:
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for international transportation activities
  • Monitor KPIs to assess performance, identify deviations from targets, and recommend corrective actions
  • Continuously improve the measurement and reporting of our global supply chain performance

Process Optimization:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of inefficiency within the supply chain
  • Suggest and implement process improvements to streamline operations and reduce costs
  • Assist in the development and execution of international transportation strategies

Carrier Management:
  • Manage relationships with ocean carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers to support our global operations
  • Evaluate carrier performance, identify areas of risk, and resolve any transportation-related issues
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen carrier relationships and improve lead times

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in supply chain analysis, with a focus on international transportation
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and software, such as Excel, MicroStrategy (or similar), and other data visualization tools
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of retail trade regulations and logistics
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to self-manage time and performance against deadlines
