Responsible for preparing U.S. Federal, U.S. state and local, and international income, franchise, gross receipts, and other non-income-based tax returns. Assist in the preparation of the income tax provision, uncertain tax positions, and financial statement income tax footnotes. Responsible for maintaining compliance at the county, city and state level to support store operations. Prepare monthly reconciliation of tax accounts. Provide tax audit support including responding to information document requests. Maintain internal control and SOX process documentation. Perform tax analysis and research projects.
  • Prepare the U.S. federal consolidated income tax return as well as domestic state and local income and franchise tax returns
  • Prepare the federal, state and local estimated tax payments and extensions
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of tax accounts, including the gathering of documentation to validate balances
  • Assist in the preparation of the quarterly income tax provision
  • Prepare return-to-provision true-up entries for federal, international, and state and local income and franchise tax returns
  • Verify income tax-related internal controls are being exercised without exception

Additional support for tax department, including, but not limited to:
  • Prepare responses to information document requests or other inquiries and/or notices from tax authorities
  • Provide additional audit support to supervisors and managers on an as needed basis
  • Perform tax research and other special tax projects
  • Support tax credits and incentives projects
  • Coordinate with Treasury on tax payments in a timely manner

Essential Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting
  • Years of Experience: 1 - 3

Preferred Qualifications (Skills and Abilities)
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
  • Analytical skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Must be proactive and self-directed, effective time management skills
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility with overtime to meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills required
  • Ability to work in a cross functional team environment
