This role is responsible for being a technical subject matter expert of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification Device) that are associated with the product within Express retail locations. Responsible for both leading evaluation of new technologies as well as full administration ownership of RFID/Mobile related projects. Participation in business requirement gathering meeting to understand functionality, processes, and technologies. Determine feasibility of requests, identify best approach to provide technology solutions to meet business needs and provide detailed estimations (time, cost, resources).

  • Responsible for driving new and existing solutions between IT partners internal and external related to RFID\Mobile
  • Provide support for business critical applications identifying and providing solutions to application software issues
  • Creation of vendor support tickets for any issues found related to RFID\Mobile
  • Provide technical consulting/mentorship on medium to highly complex projects & indirectly manage technical personnel on medium to large scale projects
  • Perform administrative functions in relation to project activities
  • Provide project plans, technical specifications development, status reports, and issues reporting on medium to large scale projects

Required Experience & Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of experience within mobile, wireless, and RFID technologies
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems or equivalent combination of coursework/job experience
  • 4+ years of systems administration for any mobile distributed client systems platform
  • Advanced technical expertise in languages, operating systems, databases, development tools, network, and/or software packaging
  • Advanced knowledge of software development practices (program design, flowcharting, coding, testing, debugging)
