As Express transforms from a store in the mall to a brand with a purpose powered by a styling community, the systems and processes supporting our store teams are transforming as well. The Project Manager takes a leadership role in planning and oversight for the successful delivery of stores programs, initiatives and system implementations. This individual will work closely with stakeholders, Store Operations peers, cross functional partners and external vendors to drive project/program implementation.

  • Supports the implementation of strategic initiatives for the Stores Organization, partnering with key stakeholders and teams to execute the vision
  • Works closely with peers, cross-functional teams, and vendors to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives
  • Develops short- and long-term plans to achieve organizational objectives, sequencing work and communication to achieve desired results
  • Continuously evaluates programs and projects to ensure objectives are achieved, assess risks and identify areas for improvement
  • Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendors
  • Implements and manages changes/interventions to ensure project goals are achieved
  • Meets with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on initiatives
  • Produces proactive, accurate and timely reporting on program status

  • Bachelor's Degree or in lieu of, time spent in retail or related industry
  • 3-5 years' experience in project/program management, ideally in the retail, hospitality, or other customer facing service industry
  • Demonstrated problem solving, time management and priority setting skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Desired - PMP certification or MPM degree

  • Analytical skills - ability to synthesize data to derive insights
  • Presentation skills - excellent communicator and storyteller
  • Creative problem-solving and opportunity identification
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Excellent customer service with a focus on relationship building
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects, and priorities
  • Command of Excel and PowerPoint
