Responsibilities

Job Summary

The core responsibilities of Express P&A Business Analyst is to provide support to the P&A team regarding any financial reporting needs and support in-store testing for the business. The Business Analyst is responsible for executing and analyzing the financial reporting plans, while ensuring timely and consistent execution. The Business Analyst will analyze and report the financial impacts of future assortment and offer decisions, while coordinating cross-functional groups to ensure timely and consistent test execution. The selected candidate will be analyzing statistical test results and will execute the communication of those results and analysis to business leaders. Responsibilities will include selecting test stores and test cells, monitoring test activity, maintenance of the master test calendar and coordinating store communications. This role also requires the candidate to work cross functionally with the other members of this team to support, assist and serve as back-up as needed within their roles. Reports to Director of Planning Operations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Responsible for determining store selection, control groups and base periods for tests for each floorset. Coordinates testing communications and meeting with cross functional partners across the business.
  • Accountable for execution and review of internal planning reporting. Executes daily/weekly/monthly reports and deliverables for accuracy and timeliness per specifications and workflow. Responsible for the next season set up of these reports.
  • Handles multiple special projects independently, including but not limited to Warm Weather analysis and Clearance reporting. Facilitates reporting needs and any ad hoc reports or data requests from leaders of the business
  • Supports and partners with members of our team as needed in their roles, and / or serving as a back up to assist with pricing, report validation and testing of systems and reports.
  • Other essential tasks that are not listed may be requested by your supervisor.

Job Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Years of Experience: 3 - 5 of related work experience in retail
  • Proficient user of MSI Data Warehouse, Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, Outlook, Power Point

  • Highly motivated/self-starter with a sense of ownership, a willingness to learn, and a strong desire to succeed
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and attention to detail is a must
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate across all levels of management
  • Must be detail oriented, results driven, able to take full ownership of responsibilities
  • Needs to be able to re-prioritize deliverables in response to changing business needs and effectively lead through change
  • Excellent project management, analytical and organizational skills
