Responsibilities

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for designing and implementing procedures to ensure accurate accounting and reporting of inventory for both finished and non-finished goods in multi-channel retail environment. This person is also responsible for monitoring systems and collaborating cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy and consistency in accordance with SOX/internal controls. The Inventory Control Manager works closely with executive and functional leaders to oversee the execution of critical inventory initiatives including physical inventories, RFID cycle counts, fabric liability management, and transfers of goods between channels/locations which support brand merchandise strategies while optimizing the inventory investment.
  • Lead team of accountants responsible for inventory reconciliation
  • Review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations during month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financials
  • Develop budgets and manage forecasts related to inventory activities and significant accounting estimates (cancellations, shrink, LCM, logistics expense and sell-off income) in collaboration with FP&A partners
  • Functional project lead for systems upgrades and new system implementations overlapping the Inventory Control space
  • Drive and maintain successful partnerships across functions internally as well as externally with physical inventory and sell-off partners to improve inventory accuracy, maximize returns on aged inventory, and ensure proper fiscal management of inventory measurements

Required Experience & Qualifications
  • 7+ years of accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Project management, system implementation and logistics experience preferred
  • Proven ability to drive favorable financial results through new initiatives and manage successful cross-functional engagements
  • Additional credentials a plus i.e MBA, CPA
