Responsibilities and Qualifications

Bonobos is seeking a Director of Guideshops to provide strategic leadership and executive oversight to drive the success of Bonobos retail stores through setting and implementing high-level strategies, fostering innovation, creating a customer-centric culture, and ensuring the overall growth and profitability of the Guideshop channel. The Director of Guideshops will report directly to the Bonobos Brand President and partner closely and collaboratively with cross-functional peers to advance the corporate strategy and achieve business objectives. Success in this role depends upon strong partnerships with Merchandising, Design, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Finance, Real Estate, Planning, Operations, eCommerce, HR, and Technology leaders.

  • Drive Guideshop channel growth and profitability through application of the Bonobos brand strategy to our brick & mortar customer/associate experience
  • Provide direction, guidance, and ongoing feedback to direct reports instilling business leadership principles and sharpening team roles and responsibilities
  • Operate and manage with the highest level of integrity and fiscal responsibility applying strategic and financial acumen to ideas, investments, and initiatives
  • Create a positive impact on the culture of the Guideshop organization by modeling company Core Competencies and Core Virtues and embedding structured talent development processes in the team mindset and operating model
  • Champion a culture of collaboration across the Guideshop leadership team to reinforce a compelling strategic vision for Guideshops, inclusive of operational and product allocation improvements, communications plans, and measurement strategies
  • Create and implement strategic and operations plans to achieve short and long-term business and financial goals
  • Identify opportunities, develop strategies and recommendations, and implement programs to enhance operational effectiveness and to advance the customer experience
  • Lead innovation in the Guideshop space, with a focus on payroll and labor models, customer experience evolutions, and omni-channel alignment
  • Remain current on the competitive landscape and market conditions to identify opportunities and apprise of risks to the business
  • Cultivate trusted, transparent working relationships across the organization; deliver open and honest feedback to assist the field organization in adapting to change and maximizing operational KPIs
  • Partner across the organization to meet the needs of the Guideshop lane and to augment the customer experience as necessary to meet goals
  • Drive leadership behavior through field immersion and involvement, traveling regularly to experience key regions and districts
  • Recruit, nurture, and develop the Retail Operations and Field Leadership teams

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years leading and operating multiple retail locations; experience in specialty retail a plus
  • Proven track record aligning people, processes, and technology to business goals
  • Customer-obsessed
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Adept relationship builder who actively engages colleagues, partners, and stakeholders
  • Ability to influence across teams and functions
  • Collaborative leader who puts others and outcomes first
  • Previous experience with strategic and organizational development
  • Willingness and ability to travel and be immersed in field experiences firsthand

Actual compensation offered is dependent upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, work location, education, relevant skills and experience of the candidate.

135,000 - 241,500
