The Cook II position is responsible for assisting the Chef with food preparation and menu planning. Ensures service standards are met and surpassed by creating an enjoyable experience for your customers with prompt service, quality food, and maintaining a clean and comfortable cafe. Opening and closing as scheduled. Maintain excellent customer service to ensure optimal customer satisfaction.

  • Responsible for general cooking duties in preparing food items and proficiency at any of the stations including grill, deli, stir fry, main event, retail and salad bar. Responsible for providing exceptional customer service.
  • Assists Cafe Manager with inventory management and food supply ordering. Assists with inventory of supplies on hand and assists with orders of food supplies, ingredients, and other consumables on a scheduled basis as determined by menu and estimated number of customers.
  • Assists the Cafe Manager with catering needs and miscellaneous Cafe projects. Works with Cafe Manager to develop menu, daily selections and specials, plan or price menus.
  • Oversees and is responsible for sanitation and food safety techniques for the Cafe. Certified in ServSafe, and follows ServSafe guidelines.
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.

Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Education: Associates degree or greater in the culinary arts, or equivalent
  • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on culinary experience
  • Work hours are: 6:30am-3pm M-F
