Responsibilities

As a valued member of the Product Applications Team (PAT), the Sr. Software Developer (Java) will be responsible for formulating and defining system scope and objectives. Responsibilities include design, development, testing, support and documentation. The candidate will need to be responsible for delivery of all phases of medium to high complexity projects. The successful candidate must have the desire and ability to learn and work with multiple programming languages and frameworks across a wide variety of applications

Essential Tasks

20%

Participates in technical architecture design meetings and write high quality, test-driven code ; determine feasibility of requests; identify best approach to provide technology solutions to meet business needs; Analyze current systems to maintain integrity and improve archite cture.

Completes full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) from design, flowcharting, development, testing and implementation. This includes strong integration with other systems and system admin activities.

60%

Design highly scalable software solutions to improve functionality and system longevity. Production Operations and support - 24x7 on-call support as part of a team rotation. Requires strong problem solving and communication skills to interpret issues and provide resolution. Plan and execute all deployment of system features and monitor for successful integration, maintaining the system throughout its lifecycle

Essential Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification
• Years of Experience: 8+ years of experience in Design, Development and support
• Experience in Core Java, Java Beans, JSP, Servlets, EJB, Hibernate, JMS, JDBC, XML, Design Patterns, JavaScript and Web Services in the enterprise development process
• Extensive experience with JavaScript, AngularJS, JQuery, HTML, CSS, JSON, XSLT, DHTML.
• Knowledge and experience in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle 12c, MS SQL Server databases
• Sound knowledge of various Application servers - J Boss, Tomcat and Web Sphere Application Server, Web Logic Application Server, Apache Tomcat and JBoss.
• Working experience with ETL methodologies and tools like ODI (Oracle Data Integrator) and reporting software like Oracle BIP (Business intelligence Publisher) is essential.
• Working knowledge with building and integrating API and RESTful interfaces.
• Experienced in agile, waterfall and scrum development cycles.
• Demonstrate strong problem solving and communication skills
• Must be able to coordinate with vendor for escalation of support related issues.
• Ability and willingness to learn new technologies

Preferred Requirements:
• Experience in Retail PLM Projects or Applications
• Bamboo Rose application knowledge
• Experience in Oracle Database MAA (Maximum Availability Architecture)
• Identifies and reacts to problems related to the support of Linux environment
