Responsibilities

The Sr Payroll Systems Analyst will perform system testing on various functions, including but not limited to system upgrades, system interfaces, new reports, new pay codes and deductions codes. Responsible for system set-up and configurations for new payroll processes determined by either company or governmental requirements. Troubleshoot and assess operational processes identified through audits, financial analysis, reconciliations, and data validation. Assist and train user groups in understanding processes and the nature and meaning of data and reports. Assist with preparation of reports, files and pulling supporting backup for internal data requests, internal and external audit requests and ad hoc projects as assigned. Collaborate with HR, Finance and other departments to identify their needs and solutions. Will serve as backup for payroll processing and payroll manager.
  • Make discretionary decisions related to project design based on research, business needs to ensure project deliverables satisfy all project requirements for payroll and related departments
  • Development and practice of test plans, formal test case design and testing of primary and secondary systems
  • Audit, analysis and development of validation of systems to ensure compliance and accurate processing
  • Lead Project/work teams and checks the work of payroll team auditors
  • Communicate effectively across the organization of change and the impact on other company processes
  • Manage process expectations including the evaluation of risk, generating alternatives and balancing
  • Determine functionality needs of the Payroll team in any new processes, evaluate modifications needed
  • Identify and research resource materials needed for each project

Job Requirements
  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience
  • Years of Payroll experience 3-5 years
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of private and personal information
