Responsible for coordinating and executing the production plan for a specific product type(s), from placement of orders through delivery of product. Manages risk and opportunity for the area at a more independent role. Typically reports to Production Manager with at least one direct report.
  • Execute annual sourcing strategy to the factory level for multiple departments. Deliver to internal and external partners.
  • Project and manage factory monthly capacities to cover business needs.
  • Manage fiscal responsibility for fabric and trim liability processes, as the business requires.
  • Negotiate time and action calendars /ensure accuracy through clear understanding of product management life cycle and seasonal strategies.
  • Manage risk and quality across multiple channels: people, product, and process.
  • Manage on order and ensure on time delivery of product
  • Ensure agility and liquidity within product categories, as the business requires.
  • Lead through influence to help drive decision making in order to achieve departmental goals. Support change and maximizing the efforts of others through clear goals & objectives.
  • Drive average unit cost through product knowledge, leverage of seasonal volume, and vendor partnerships
  • Inspire, Motivate and Develop Talent: Lead and manage daily responsibilities of Production Coordinator and/or Production Assistant to prepare for "Next". Assess and provide regular performance feedback against company goals & values.
  • Partner with all cross functional members in Columbus and New York as the business requires supporting the larger team and initiatives
  • Attend company and departmental meetings. Some travel required as necessary

Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 5-7 years' experience in sourcing or manufacturing; preferably within the apparel industry
